NM Ecology are consultant ecologists, providing a range of ecological services for planners, architects, engineers, local authorities and community groups throughout Ireland and Northern Ireland.
All surveying and reporting is led by Nick Marchant MCIEEM MSc, who has 14 years of professional experience. He has coordinated ecological assessments for over 500 projects throughout the island of Ireland, including wind farms, infrastructural projects (power lines, water pipelines), and a range of residential and commercial developments. He has also worked as project manager, senior scientist, and ecological consultant with the Borneo Nature Foundation in Indonesia, and as a biodiversity officer with Galway County Council.
Nick is a full member of the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management and operates in accordance with their Code of Professional Conduct. He has an MSc in Ecosystem Conservation and Landscape Management from NUI Galway, and a BSc in Environmental Science from Queens University Belfast. He holds Professional Indemnity and Public Liability insurance, and ensures that high standards of health and safety are maintained on all projects.
